GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following General Terms and Conditions apply to rental contracts for hotel accommodations as well as to further services and services provided by Viewpoint Boutique Living.

If you wish to purchase any services directly through this website or make any other payments to Viewpoint Boutique Living through this website, you will be required to agree to, and comply with Viewpoint Boutique Living terms and conditions.

DEFINITIONS

VBL  means Viewpoint Boutique Living.

Booking means the booking for the accommodation or any other services made with us.

Contract means the booking and these terms and conditions.

VBL reserves the right to amend any fees from time to time and adjust any fees recorded on this website if the fees recorded are incorrect.

All fees and charges are in Euros and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified.

CANCELLATION POLICY AND NO SHOWS

The guest can cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival no later than 3 p.m. VBL local time.

Cancellations received 2 days or less prior to the guest’s due arrival date will be charged 100% of the total quoted amount.No shows will be charged 100% of the total quoted amount of their stay.

Due to our hotel being small, cancellations affect us significantly.

BOOKING PROCESS AND PAYMENT

Guest may check-in at any time from 2.00 p.m. onwards, on the scheduled day of arrival.

Check-out at 11.00 a.m. On the day of departure, we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11.00 a.m., late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the VBL.

For advance purchase the card you booked with must be presented on arrival, along with the appropriate identification document.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of reservation.

The credit card provided is used to guarantee the reservation only. Payment will not be taken from the card unless required under the terms of the cancellation policy of your reservation.

If you prefer to settle your account with cash, you will be required to pay the total cost of accommodation plus a security deposit to cover all incidentals at the time of check-in.

Please note that a valid photo ID will be required at check-in and a copy retained on file. VBL does not accept personal or company cheques as a method of payment unless pre-payment is made 10 business days prior to arrival.

By making the booking you and/or your guest agree that you are over 18.

CHILDREN`S POLICY

Children under the age of 3 will be accommodated free of charge when sharing with a full paying adult.

Children from the age of 4 to 12 years sharing a room with a full paying adult will incur an additional charge.

Children 13 years and over will be charged as an adult.

FLIGHT AND ARRIVAL INFORMATION

AS the VBL does not have a 24-hours manned reception service, guests are kindly asked to please advise us of their arrival time.  This is needed so that special arrangements are made for the reception to remain open until guest’s arrival at the VBL. This service is provided at no extra cost to the guest.

LEISURE

Normal precautions should be taken by the guests to avoid injury when using the pool.Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times when using the pool area.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

Guests are required to provide a security deposit of 50 Euro at check-in by credit card or cash, to guarantee payment of any incidental charges. This may be in form of a credit card authorisation or a refundable deposit made in cash or by debit card charge. Cheques are not accepted.

If you wish to settle your account with a credit card you will be required to present the card at check-in where a pre-authorization for the total cost of accommodation plus a security deposit will be processed.

Please respect our scarce natural resources when using water and electricity and correctly use the sanitary facilities, please avoid throwing anything in the W.C, a bin is provided.

Care must be taken by the guests to avoid any damage to the property, furniture, furnishings and damage to the property fitting and appliances.

Any breakages that are not claimed at the time of check-out will be charged right after. An e-mail to inform such will be sent.

It is forbidden to carry or use flammable and explosive substances or anything with a strong odour in VLB premises.

Any wilful, deliberate or careless damage or removal of any of the owners` property will be charged to the booking guest whose responsibility it will be to also ensure the safety and well-being of his/her guests.

Guests should take full responsibility for the magnetic card keys and inform immediately if lost.

Smoking is not permitted in the guest rooms or public areas within the hotel buildings. Guests will also be responsible for any costs, damage, or liability arising as a result of smoking or any smoke detectors being activated by guests. Guests who wish to smoke please use the designated outside smoking areas.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

No outside visitors are permitted without owners’ consent.

Only the number of guests specified at the time of booking is entitled to stay at the property. If during the course of the agreed rental period it comes to the attention of the owner that a greater number of guests are staying than booked, the owner has the right to terminate the rental immediately without refund of rental monies paid. The owner`s decision is final in respect of this rule.

If due to circumstances beyond our control we are forced to cancel your stay, we will refund your money and make every effort to find alternative accommodation. However, we cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by you as a result. Rates and terms of reservation will be confirmed at the time of booking and cannot be changed.

Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.

Guests are invited to use and enjoy the view from our terraces and pool area but please do not discard anything from there which may affect others or pollute the environment.

The owner is not responsible for any injuries, loss or damage to guest`s property during your stay. We recommend you book travel insurance to cover any unforeseen incidents.

Rooms are serviced daily between 11.00 am to 14.00 pm.

Cots are available in most of our rooms free of charges.

Extra beds are available in some of our rooms. Additional charges may apply. Please check at the time of booking.

PETS

We regret that no pets are allowed on the premises except for guide and hearing assistance dogs.

MINIBARS

Any items opened, consumed must be paid for at the time of check-out. Unpaid items will be charged right after. This will also incur a Euro 5.00 processing charge.

INTERNET AND CABLE TV

Internet service and cable television is provided by a third party. We cannot be held responsible for any inconsistency of service.

Use of internet is to be limited to reasonable use thereof. Guests agree to abide by the laws of Malta and/or any other international legal conventions insofar as the viewing, downloading, uploading, sharing or use of any content on the internet is concerned.

CHARGERS AND OTHER ELECTRIC DEVICES

In the interests of ensuring the highest health and safety standards, we require that you only use good quality electronic chargers for your electrical devices. Please use chargers that conform to EU safety standards, and is not `CE` marked.

JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These terms and conditions form a binding contract on you and shall be governed, interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. All disputes arising from or in connection with our services including any use of the website shall enjoy the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.

By making the booking with VIEWPOINT BOUTIQUE LIVING for vacation rental you are agreeing that all personal details are accurate and that you abide to all the terms and conditions above.

Force Majeure

The Company accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
